EQUINEXproject

The project has been developed to innovatively address some of the inequalities faced by disadvantaged people when they are trying to access employment, training and educational opportunities. It also attempts to address their difficulties in sustaining those opportunites. It focuses particularly on people who have been unemployed for a considerable time and people with disabilities, including those with autistic spectrum disorders, sensory disabilities and learning disabilities. The project aims to address those difficulties by developing and piloting new initiatives. The outcomes will be evaluated and used to influence policy at local, national and European levels. It is hoped that successful activities will be adopted by mainstream service providers.
